The Hamden Responsible Dog Owner’s Group (R-DOG) is a citizen’s organization founded in August, 2000. It has quickly gained community attention and support with over 300 members from all over Hamden and our neighboring towns. It is a committee of Hamden Community Playground, Inc., 501(c)(3), non-profit organization.
R park is run by volunteers. We do Spring and Fall clean-up parties and welcome all that want to come on out and help. We have fundraisers to keep up with maintenance of the park and to make improvements to the park.

Working with land generously donated by the town, our Park was built without the use of tax payer dollars! The R-DOG mission is the day to day upkeep of and improvements to the park. Our non-profit and tax exempt status allows us to raise money to sustain our Park!
